Mermaidcore

Mermaidcore is beach fantasy with a costume budget: a fabric tail for the seated frames, iridescent sequins that flash like scales, shell crowns and pearl-strung hair. It photographs best at the waterline — wet sand mirrors the sky and doubles every color the wardrobe throws.

Shoot golden hour at low tide; the tail poses are seated or reclining, so plan the sequence around them and save the standing sequin looks for last light. Body shimmer catches sun on shoulders, and a handful of pearls scattered on wet sand turns any close-up into a set.
