Trench coats, umbrellas, and streets that mirror the lights.

Rain is the cheapest production value in photography: wet streets double every light, umbrellas frame faces, and a belted trench turns anyone into a film still. The wardrobe is classic for a reason — trench, gloves, red lip, boots that can stand in a puddle.
Shoot just after rain rather than during it; the reflections stay and the lens stays dry. A clear dome umbrella lights the face while colored ones cast tints — bring both. Neon signage plus wet asphalt at night is the noir jackpot, and a spray bottle fakes fresh drops on the umbrella between takes.
